Hello guys. Long time no see. I’ve been in China for like 4 months, and sadly my posts were severely delayed. But here I am. Thanks to the jetlag, I am super awake right now, and decide to update a bit. So during my stay, I have traveled several cities in northwest China. I haven’t started to sort out my pictures yet. But I really want to recommend Chengdu in Sichuan province to you guys.
It’s a place that is really heaven to foodies. Every restaurant and vendor on the street is worth trying. Hotpot, cool jelly, chuanchuan(串串), you name it. You don’t have to check out Chinese yelp or anything at all. It’s usually a jewel. I love Chengdu not only because of the food though, the people are super friendly. Hmmm, people in China are mostly friendly. Ok. The most important thing is Chengdu people enjoy their slow life, and housing price is not as crazy as other big cities. That is definitely a plus for me when I’m thinking about a city to stay after retirement.
Wait, I’m not done yet. Pandas guys. Those cuties are in Chengdu. I can watch them all day. Here are some picture for your preview. Check out my YouTube for videos.

I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in China pre-COVID and Chengdu was the city we trained in. Your post brought back some great memories 🙂 favorite city and best food in China hands down!
